Mechanical Engineer

The key role is responsible for the concept and creation of mechanical designs that meet the technical, project cost, and schedule criteria of projects. Engineer must be able to lead projects through the design and also being the primary technical contact through manufacturing, assembly, debug, and final acceptance. The company is a prototype development firm located in Atlanta, GA.



BSME or equivalent

5+ years of machine design experience, packaging industry preferred. Must contain working knowledge welding, annotation, and PS 1569 Standards.

Proficient in Solid Works. Must also contain working knowledge of FEA and CFD simulations.

Thorough understanding of machine design including Mechanisms, Pneumatics, Control devices.

Proficient in dynamic modeling through Matlab/Simulink (Require Portfolio) Manufacturing practices for injection molding and metal work.

Problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills, written and oral.

Effective interpersonal skills working in an team environment.

Strong planning and prioritization skills including the ability to work with limited supervision.

Typically works in an office environment, but will need to visit various fabrication facilities to ensure quality control.

Electrical Engineer

Electrical engineers are involved in projects from the concept and detail of the design through to implementation, testing and handover. They may also be involved in maintenance programmes. As well as having technical knowledge, electrical engineers need to be able to project manage and multitask. They also need to have commercial awareness. Additional attributes, such as team leadership or management skills, are required as careers progress. The electrical engineering position will span both product development and the research divisions guiding and assisting mechanical engineers as needed for technical referencing.

Must have programmed and worked with Quad-Rotors or Multi-Rotor Aircrafts and other VTOL UAVs, Strong desire to test and program new Robots and Flying Vehicles; test and develop new hardware/software interfaces and working with COTS Robots and electronics.

Background in Digital Computer Vision, Image Segmentation, Optical Flow, 3D / 2D world mapping, Stereoscopic vision, Pattern recognition, Efficient Digital Image Progressing, Camera calibration/modeling w.r.f. to moving platforms and other forms of "low-level" embedded vision processing tasks

Must have very strong hands-on background in Digital Control Systems, Digital Filters, Kalman Filters, Linear / Non-linear control system application in VTOL Flying Vehicles

Aerospace Engineer

Position is for an on-site Engineering representative supporting the Inspirations VTOL UAV Development activities. Candidate will be responsible for Liaison Engineering functions to include investigation of mfg issues, design of repairs, engineering support to manufacturing for dwg/spec interpretation, coordinating efforts across a wide range of functional organizations, such as Planning, Tooling, Stress, M&P, R&M, Materiel, Flight Sciences, Test and Manufacturing; providing close coordination with other Design IPTs to ensure that decisions meet customer and derived requirements; will be required to help train others junior to them; and ensuring timely preparation of documents requested by supervision and management. Some travel and overtime may be required. Candidate must have knowledge of configuration management techniques, drafting/drawing conventions, and aerospace specifications and procedures, must be able to work well with others.


BSAE or equivalent

3+ years experience with airframe design.

Proficient in Solidworks. Must also contain working knowledge of FEA and CFD simulations. CFD simulation work must include experience with rotor hubs, wind turbines, and blade analysis. Lab Technician



Fabrication, assembly, and testing of prototype and production mechanical and electromechanical subassemblies;

Assembly, test, and rework of electrical subassemblies and electronic printed-circuit subassemblies; Perform electrical, mechanical, environmental, and system testing of current designs and prototype designs.

Will use test plans and procedures, working with and taking direction from members of Engineering team. Will be responsible for organizing test results and computerized data; and for preparing formal and informal test reports from that data.

Maintain lab equipment and equipment recordkeeping; coordinate calibration, minor repairs where necessary.

Maintain and organize lab supplies and inventory.

Fundamental understanding of basic electrical and electronics principles.

Ability to understand electrical schematics and drawings, and to translate that understanding to electrical and electronic hardware.

Ability to understand 2D mechanical drawings and 3D mechanical models, and to translate that understanding to mechanical hardware.

Knowledge of operation of basic benchtop laboratory electrical and test equipment, including power supplies, oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.

Knowledge of safe use of basic hand tools, and safe use of basic machine tools, including drills, drill press, cut-off saw, etc.

Contains working knowledge of C++, HTML, and general website design.
